Vintage Royal Doulton Bird of Paradise Mini Plate

A charming vintage Royal Doulton miniature bone china plate, made in England and decorated with a colorful exotic Bird of Paradise surrounded by delicate flowers and foliage.

Dating approximately to the 1980s, this petite collector piece is associated with the Miniature Plates of the World’s Great Porcelain Houses collection, which celebrated important international porcelain manufacturers.

The reverse carries the authentic green Royal Doulton – Made in England – Bone China factory mark.

The center features a beautifully colored exotic bird perched among a graceful arrangement of pink, yellow, blue and lavender flowers with deep green foliage.

The bird itself is rendered in soft shades of pink, yellow, blue and warm brown, giving the design a delicate chinoiserie-inspired character.

A fine gold gilt rim frames the white bone china and gives this tiny plate an elegant finishing touch.

Despite measuring only around three inches across, the decoration is wonderfully detailed and makes the piece particularly attractive for small-scale cabinet displays and curated vintage collections.

Royal Doulton is one of England’s best-known ceramic and porcelain manufacturers, with a long tradition of producing fine tableware, decorative china and collectible pieces.
